snow blind
snow blinded
ways forward lost
a future is waiting
Poetry?
snow settles
snow settles
on my shoulders, my head
snow settles
in my heart and belly fire
snow falls
snow falls
settles
drifts
hope
Pitched valley snow
pitched valley snow shielded
high woods breach perfection
circling birds black above
Resting after training
legs stretching, muscles wire tight
eyes closed in the indoor sunlight
every seven minutes a daffodil crackles open

Valentine rhyme (verse 1)
Don’t you know love’s my new aesthetic
Please don’t say you find it pathetic
When you break my heart with the sharpest words
My love for you is my anaesthetic
I am sea
I am sea. Deep, azure.
Love. Deep as you are.
The language of the now
At the turning of the year
I thought I would write in the language of the now
in the language of the time to come
but then – and now – the past begins to breathe again
and stretches through forever
Though you are not here
Though you are not here
the breeze which once you breathed
ruffles my hair
and stirs my blood
Midwinter
blinding agony
light
screams of pain
cries of joy
tears flow as his destiny is known
contemplation
resignation
love
