He was being chased. Through the dark woods he ran, nearly caught as he reached his front door. He leaped up the stairs and hid beneath the blankets.
He woke up, the dream still vivid, but kept his eyes tight shut.
In the silence he heard the door handle turn.

The youngsters were pitching horseshoes on the green. Dino’s caught the peg, caught, spun and settled. The boys stared as a rainbow shone up from where the shoe lay, up, up and down again beyond the horizon of the hills. As one, they stood and walked towards home.
I’m turning the world, said Money. But you’ve only turned it halfway, said Sam. That’s how coins fall from pockets, said Money.
She flinched as she dripped melted sugar on her arm, casting a magical sweetheart spell. The silver spoon shone in the candlelight.
