The wind has shifted

The wind has shifted to the south. In the air desert dust drifts; jellyfish tint the greasy sea pink. He knows he should not jump.

As I bent to dive, the pink medusa rippled. As I broke the water I twisted sideways but the tentacles striped my ribs and flank.
